Meridian Energy Gains Better Control by Letting More Go
When New Zealand's largest electricity generator, Meridian Energy, was established from the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand in April 1999, the organization made the decision to look for the right partner to help manage their financial management functions. BearingPoint was chosen as the right partner and enabled Meridian to complete this groundbreaking approach to outsourcing financial management functions and processes that had not previously been done in New Zealand and was seen by many at the time as out of the ordinary for the industry.

BearingPoint helps to build a Contingent Workforce Procurement outsourcing platform
One of the largest banks in the United States provides banking and investing services, corporate and investment banking, and financial products and services through state-of-the-art technology to individuals and businesses across the United States and around the world. Procuring a significant amount of IT contract and temporary services via phone, fax, and e-mail to augment its permanent workforce resulted in major inefficiencies, such as long procurement cycle times, higher expense levels for contract labor, and an absence of vital information regarding supplier quality and performance. Seeking an Internet-based solution with the capacity to support at least 500 suppliers and 3,000 contractors in the contractor management database, the bank selected BearingPoint to help them achieve their goals.
