RadioShack sells more wireless telephones, telecommunications products, electronics parts, and accessories than any other retailer.

The Challenge

They have relied on PeopleSoft for its human resources, payroll, and benefits functions for several years, customizing the software to all manager self-service. RadioShack sought to upgrade to PeopleSoft 8. They wanted to ease its upgrade effort to maximize its use of functionality delivered with PeopleSoft.

The Solution

RadioShack chose to work with BearingPoint based on our extensive experience in leading PeopleSoft upgrades and implementations. The company looked to use for project management, specific benefits administration, and Web-enablement experience. To help RadioShack to speed the project and have the enhanced tools in place, the BearingPoint team leveraged its R²i Rapid Return on Investment Upgrade for PeopleSoft 8 Solution to bring the project to a successful and timely completions.

The Benefits

BearingPoint helped RadioShack exceed its goal of going live before the Golden Quarter by partnering with their IT staff. The upgrade and implementation allowed RadioShack to significantly reduce systems modifications, thus driving down maintenance costs as well as future upgrade costs. In addition BearingPoint's team stayed on with RadioShack after the implementation to provide initial support and transition support responsibilities to their personnel.
